Roam and Seek

We are Greg and Victoria, travelling full time on the New Zealand road since 20 October 2025 in ‘The Beast’ our Urban X-treme 18.9 foot caravan which is pulled along by ‘Trev the Chev’ our Chevrolet Silverado.

Whilst we are on the more mature side of life, we have only been together for six years, having met whilst hiking the Te Araroa trail in 2018/19. What followed were even more long distance hikes and camping adventures. Having hiked in Australia, that passion developed into roof top tent camping and ultimately what we consider to be the most luxurious form of adventure travel, in our fully off grid and off road set up.

When we left our home town of Napier, Hawke’s Bay, Greg had been retired for some years, but Victoria resigned from her job to pursue their dream of spending quality time with one another whilst travelling the country.

We invite you to follow our journey as we roam New Zealand seeking out the best scenery New Zealand has to offer whist we negotiate living in a small box.
